Circular saw blade
This photo shows a circular saw blade for sawing wood. The hard metals, consisting of tungsten carbide with 5 to 13% cobalt, are brazed onto the steel.
For brazing using induction heating, several types of brazing alloys can be recommended including the low melting point silver brazing alloys BrazeTec 4900 and BrazeTec 4900A or the low melting point tri-metal brazing alloy BrazeTec 49/Cu with an intermediate copper layer for stress reduction.
The working temperature of these three brazing alloys is 690°C. For the flux we recommend BrazeTec h80, BrazeTec h285 or BrazeTec spezial h.
