Hart metal drill
This photo shows a hard metal drill-bit for metal work.
Induction heating can be used for brazing.
As a titanium nitride coating has been applied to the cutting edge of the bit, the brazed connection has been made using a zinc and cadmium free silver brazing alloy BrazeTec 6488(working temperature 770°C).
BrazeTec 6488 brazing alloy is chiefly used where components have a PVD vacuum coating such as TiN and where hence zinc and cadmium containing alloys cannot be used.
BrazeTec spezial h is recommended for the flux.
